So they are very aromatic as well.
Our driver Roji terus masuk ke dalam membelikan kami tiket show tu.
Hallway menunggu di luar dewan show.
Let's have a quick look at them.
Patung-patung pun ada.
Suasana bandar Ernakulam dulu-dulu.
One of my favourite paintings there.
Muziris was an ancient seaport and urban center on the Malabar Coast (modern-day Indian state of Kerala) that dates from at least the 1st century BC, if not before it.
Di hujung hallway kompleks ini ada patung.
Kalau tak silap itu patutng 'Shiva as the Lord of Dance'.
Ada patung-patung ukuran sebenar of the performers. Ottanthullal. Introduced 400 year ago, Thullal is a solo performance combining dance and recitation. Staged during temples festivities, the performer brings alive the verses through expressive gestures.
The many hand gestures performed during performances. Semua ada maksud tersendiri. Macam sign language.
Yang ini pula ialah Mohiniyattam - a graceful dance to be performed as a solo recital by a woman. A drama in dance and verses with gestures and facial acting.
More hand gestures.
Kathakali - not a simple drama-dance but an act of devotion featuring the universal struggle between good and evil.
My apologies. I simple could not get better images of these texts.
Must have taken years for the performers to master all these facial expressions.
Kathakali make-up - very elaborate.
Muchilottu Baghavathy Theyyam.
Koodiyattam.
Alat-alat musik yang digunakan semasa persembahan.
Mudiyettu.
Velichappadu.
More hand gestures.
