Today, kami akan bertolak semula ke Colombo dan akan touring di sana pulak sebab on the day we arrived kami terus ke Kandy. Apa2 pun breakfast dulu lah :). Masa kami nak ke restoran for sarapan kami noticed bahagian restoran yang next to the garden sedang dihias cantik dengan bunga2. Semalamnya ada kami bertanya Terrence tentang wedding di Sri Lanka dan kata dia reception dibuat 2 kali, belah pagi from the bride's side dan belah malam from the groom's side. So yang ni from the bride's side lah.
Sarapan! Tengah lapar masa tu! Hehehhe.. Sarapan saya pagi tu:
Left: Vegetable fried noodels + dosai with dhal + potato masala + milk tea.
Middle: Croissant + mini sausage bun + chicken curry.
Right: Mini doughnut + strawberry danish + vanilla muffin + viennese roll
Okeh, selesai sarapan, we packed and checked out from the hotel. Terus menuju ke Colombo.
Suasana pagi tu berkabus tebal.
Di belakang ada gereja, masjid, stupa dan hindu temple to show tolerence and respect in all the religions in Sri Lanka. I just love this poster!
Pemandangan yang sejuk mata memandang.
Penduduk2 setempat going about their daily chores.
Ada la a couple of times when we were behind huge lorries bawak balak. Jadinya slow la perjalanan. Pada kami tak jadi masalah sebab bila slow senang nak ambik gambar. Tambah pulak keadaan cuaca kelam2 so bila slow tak le blur2 foto2.. hehehe..
Masa ni di kawasan elevation 1600 m above MSL [metres above mean sea level]. Must drive with extreme care! Jalan curam with sharp bends! To add, kami noticed rata2 jalanraya2 di Sri Lanka memang elok.
A few more people shots.
One of them is Palmerston Estate. Also again berada di belakang lori balak yang balak2nya sangat la besar!
So green, so beautiful!
Then kami ternampak ladang bunga ni. Apa Cut Flowers tu? Apparently there are huge demands for fresh flowers especially from Europe selain US dan Jepun seperti Italy dan Perancis. Juga Netherlands dan UK.
Lagi air terjun mini :).
Deretan tuk tuk.
Talawakkelle Estate, a Richard Pieris Company.
Saya tak minta sebenarnya tapi saya tak larang sebab demi keselamatan camera saya.. hehehe. Hujan agak lebat masa tu..
Ini St. Clair's Falls. So magnificient and majestic! SubhanAllah....
St. Clair's Falls dari jauh with amazing lush green surroundings.
Wikipedia: St. Clair's Falls (Sinhalese: සාන්ත ක්ලෙයාර් ඇල්ල) is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and is commonly known as the "Little Niagara of Sri Lanka". The falls are situated 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of the town of Talawakele on the Hatton-Talawakele Highway in Nuwara Eliya District.
Let's zoom dekat. Bertingkat2 air terjun ni.
Wikipedia: The falls are located along the Kotmale River, a tributary of the Mahaweli River, as it cascades over three rock outcrops into a large pool, running through a tea estate, from which the falls derive their name from.
Wikipedia: The waterfalls consist of two falls called "Maha Ella" (Sinhalese "The Greater Fall"), which is 80 metres (260 ft) high and 50 metres (160 ft) wide and "Kuda Ella", (Sinhalese "The Lesser Fall"), which is 50 metres (160 ft) high and located immediately downstream of the main fall. St Clair's falls are the 20th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka.
A stunning view of the sprawling tea plantations.
Masa di sini dah tak hujan so senang nak ambik gambar :).
Amazing waterfall!
Wikipedia: The falls is named after a pioneer English coffee planter called Devon, whose plantation is situated nearby the falls. situated 6 km west of Talawakele, Nuwara Eliya District on A7 highway.
Wikipedia: The Waterfall is 97 metres high and ranked 19th highest in the Island. The Falls formed by Kothmale Oya, a tributary of Mahaweli River. Altitude of Devon falls is 1,140m above sea level.
