SKYTROPOLIS INDOOR THEME PARK

Assalamualaikum.

Pada pagi hari kedua kami di Genting Highlands ini, saya dan isteri sudah pun melawat ke dua places of interests iaitu Happy Bee Farm & Insect World dan Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm. 

Memandangkan isteri ada event pada sebelah petang, maka saya pun seorang dirilah pergi sambung jalan-jalan di Genting Highlands ini. Saya decided pergi ke First World Plaza untuk ke Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park dan Ripley's Adventureland.

Jadi lepas lunch dan solat, lebih kurang pukul 2:30 pm saya pun naik teksi menuju ke Awana SkyWay untuk naik gondola dari Awana Station ke SkyAvenue Station untuk ke First World Plaza.

Jika semalamnya kami ke Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park pakej tiketnya sudah termasuk tiket pergi balik Awana SkyWay, maka pada hari kedua ini saya kenalah beli tiket di kaunter. Tiada queue panjang di tiket kaunter ini mungkin sebab hari itu adalah hari Isnin. 

Kosong!

Off we went.

Naik gondola ini adalah cara terpantas dan paling mudah untuk ke Genting Highlands.

Dari Stesen Awana di pertengahan bukit ke Stesen SkyAvenue di puncak ambil masa lebih kurang 10 minit.

Sampai ke Stesen SkyAvenue, saya terus masuk ke First World Plaza menuju ke Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park. Lokasinya adalah di sebelah kiri dalam foto di bawah. Sambil itu mencari lokasi Ripley's Adventureland juga.

First World Plaza ialah pusat membeli-belah di Genting Resort yang bersebelahan dengan SkyAvenue di puncak Genting. Kompleks ini menempatkan beberapa tarikan pelancong termasuk Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park dan Ripley's Adventureland. Di plaza ini terdapat lebih dari 30 kedai dengan restoran-restoran dan kafe. Pusat membeli-belah ini dibuka setiap hari dari 10 pagi hingga 10 malam.

Kebetulan betul-betul masa saya sampai tiba-tiba this otherwise uneventful concourse (see photo above) came alive with loud cheerful and uplifting tropical island music with various amazing colorful visuals being played on the many jumbotrons! 

I thought surely this was one of the First World Plaza's attractions. The atmosphere was so festive!

Lots of wonderful animations. 

At that time I was on level 4 of the plaza so the views were stunning from up here.

Then something surprising happened. This big chandelier (if I can call it that) made of may be hundreds of multicolored light balls started to lit up and moving up and down forming wonderful random shapes.

And what's even more amazing was that each of the light balls kept changing colors! 

It truly was a feast to the senses. 

The already fabulously lighted Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park (left) made the whole spectacle even more striking.

Sambil turun, continue ambil gambar 😄.

The music, the animations, the chandelier... it was quite mesmerizing I must say 😃.  

Each wonderful orbs moved at different intervals and speed and changes its color rhythmically along to the tropical theme music 😃. 

So beautiful 😃. I was so totally enthralled... hihi 😄.

And then the show ended as suddenly as it began. And it lasted for only about 5 minutes. Saya pun tertanyalah juga was that show a regular thing here in this plaza? Like, does it happen at certain intervals? So I asked lah one of the staff at Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park. He said it was not an interval or scheduled thing. It was just the management of this plaza doing some random maintenance thing. How peculiar I thought. It cannot be just that. It should be more than just that, I must say.  It could be a fabulous attraction 😃.

Oh ya, sebelum masuk ke Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, saya cari dulu lokasi Ripley's Adventureland di level 4 ini. This is the SkyCasino.

Ok, jom masuk ke Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park. 

Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park ialah taman tema tertutup di First World Plaza dan disambungkan ke SkyAvenue. Ia menampilkan 24 rides dan tarikan untuk semua peringkat umur termasuk roller coaster, ferris wheel, swinging ship, carousel and bumper cars. Terdapat juga Taman Permainan Video BigTop, arked permainan dengan permainan interaktif untuk kanak-kanak memenangi hadiah. Terdapat lapan kiosk dan gerai menjual makanan dan minuman di taman tema ini.

Dalam Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park ini ada 3 jenis rides ~ Family Rides (Low Thrill), Adventure Rides (Medium Thrill) and Thrill Rides (High Thrill). 

Ferris wheel ride ini namanya Skyscraper, salah satu dari 10 Adventure Rides yang ada dalam Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park ini.

Ferris wheel with multi-coloured gondolas that offers a magnificent view of the park suitable for the whole family. Guests under 90cm in height may not ride. Children between 90cm and 122cm in height must be accompanied by a supervising companion aged 16 or above with a valid wristband or ticket.

Kalau nak naik the rides in this theme park, please strictly follow the rules and regulations and adhere to all the dos and don'ts for you and your family's safety.

Kalau lapar bolehlah beli crêpe and waffles di gerai ini.

This is Sky Towers ride which is one of the 'Adventure Rides' in this theme park. It is categorized as 'Medium Thrill'.

Drop tower ride that plummets at gravity-defying speeds. Guests under 105cm in height may not ride. Children between 105cm and 122cm in height must be accompanied by a supervising companion aged 16 or above with a valid wristband or ticket.

Indoor theme park ini adalah sangat luas. Mestilah, kalau tak mana nak muat more than 20 rides dalam theme park ini. 

And this is Loop de Loop, also an 'Adventure Rides' with 'Medium Thrill'. Naik kereta mini jalan atas trek keliling Eiffel Tower. 

Miniature track ride with mild curves and slopes for children. Parental supervision is required at all times. Guests must be between 90cm and 122cm in height to ride.

Nak naik Super Glider ni kena meniarap sebab it is a lie-down coaster. Tak sanggup la pak cik 😅😆.

Berjalan dalam indoor theme park ini rasa macam ada dalam metropolis 😃.

Selain Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park ini, dalam bangunan First World Plaza ini juga ada attractions lain seperti yang ada di Ripley’s Adventureland di mana ada Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium, Jurassic Research Centre, Zombie Outbreak, 4D Trick Art Museum, and Infinity Room. Selepas jalan-jalan di Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park ini, saya pergi juga to all the Ripley's Adventureland's attractions except for Zombie Outbreak.

Ride ini saya tengok dari bawah pun boleh jadi pening kepala... hihi 😄. Namanya Power Surge, an 'Adventure Rides' and it is a 'Medium thrill' ride.

Intense high-flying ride with wild spinning and upside-down motions. Guests under 122cm in height may not ride.

This indoor theme park has a huge and long LED sky screen, which I think is pretty amazing!

Next ride, the Disco! a Thrill Rides with 'High Thrill' level.

Gigantic spinning disc that travels with increasing velocity, swings back-and-forth and rotates rapidly. Guests under 122cm in height may not ride.

This is Space Cadets ~ Adventure Rides ~ Medium Thrill.

Family-friendly ride with controllable flying motions. Guests under 80cm in height may not ride. Children between 80cm and 122cm in height must be accompanied by a supervising companion aged 16 or above with a valid wristband or ticket.
