Assalamualaikum
Sajeongjeon bermaksud 'Thinking of Good Deeds Hall'.
🔵Maklumat tentang Sajeongjeon.
🔵Pemandangan di dalam Sajeongjeon Hall.
🔵Sajeongjeon Hall is a building within the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, South Korea, and served as the king's main executive office during the Joseon Dynasty.
🔹The image displays the interior of Sajeongjeon Hall, featuring the royal screen known as Irworobongdo (painting of the sun, moon, and five mountain peaks along with waterfalls and pine trees) behind the king's seat, signifying the king's authority and the prosperity of the nation.
🔹The painting was placed behind the Eojwa, the king's royal throne, to symbolize the majesty of the Joseon royal court and the dignity of the king's presence.
🔵The doors and windows in the image exhibit the traditional Korean architectural style found in palaces like Gyeongbokgung, featuring intricate intricate wooden construction and paper-covered lattice panels, characteristic of the Joseon Dynasty period.
🔵A hemispherical sundial.
🔵About the sundial.
🔵Hyangomun Gate.
🔵The meaning of ‘Yeonsaeng (延生)’ is ‘welcoming (延) the energy of life (生)’. The east traditionally meant spring, and since spring is the time when all things sprout, the east meant life and birth. The name of Gyeongseongjeon (慶成殿) on the opposite side means ‘rejoicing in completion’, and is a name that is connected in meaning to Yeonsaengjeon. Jeong Do-jeon explained the names Yeonsaengjeon and Gyeongseongjeon to Taejo as follows.
🔵Regarding Yeonsaengjeon (延生殿) and Gyeongseongjeon (慶成殿), heaven and earth give birth to all things in the spring and bear fruit in the fall. The sage gives life to all people with benevolence and creates them with righteousness. Since the sage governs all things on behalf of heaven, the execution of his decrees is fundamental to the operation of heaven and earth. Therefore, the small dormitory to the east is called Yeonsaengjeon (延生殿) and the small dormitory to the west is called Gyeongseongjeon (慶成殿), so that His Majesty could follow the example of the creation of heaven and earth and illuminate their decrees.
🔵In other words, it means that the king should follow the flow of the movement of heaven and earth, which is the birth and fruition of all things in the universe, and carry out good politics.

🔵Right: Gangnyeongjeon; Left: Gyeongseongjeon; Middle: Gyeong-eung; Furthest: Heumgyeonggak.
🔹Heumgyeonggak is a pavilion where the Okru (玉漏), an astronomical clock made by Jang Yeong-sil during the reign of King Sejong, was installed in 1438 (the 20th year of King Sejong's reign)
🔵This is Gyotaejeon, the Queen's Residence.

🔵Chimneys in Amisan Garden.
🔵Cultural property: Chimney of Amisan Mountain, Gyeongbokgung Palace (Treasure No. 811).
🔵On her free days, the queen would take her maids to the rear garden to rest and enjoy the flowers in the rear garden. In the rear garden of Gyotaejeon, there was a small flower garden where flowers bloomed from spring to fall and bees and butterflies visited. This place was called Amisan. Here, the Saposeo officials in charge of the palace’s gardens and vegetables cultivated plants that bloomed according to the season.
🔵A flower garden of the rear garden of Gyo Tae Jeon, with flowers, chimneys, and stone objects on four levels.
🔵It is said that the terrain behind Gyo Tae Jeon did not exist from the beginning, but the soil dug from the pond around Gyeonghoeru was piled up here and created.
🔵It was built with red bricks and covered with tiles, and the top of the chimney was designed to allow smoke to escape. When a fire is lit in the Gyo Tae-jeon furnace, the smoke and heat heat the furnace and escape through the chimney. The chimney is made of 30 to 31 layers of bricks on a foundation stone, and each side of the hexagon has four different patterns.
🔵The six sides of the chimney body were decorated with four layers of bricks, including the ten longevity symbols, the four noble plants, patterns symbolizing longevity and wealth, and auspicious figures that ward off evil spirits and evil spirits
🔵The stone walls were built in four stages with two-tiered long stones, and on top of them, stone monuments such as stone mounds and stone basins were placed, and flowering plants were planted around them.
🔵Looking around Amisan, the most striking thing are the four hexagonal chimneys. These chimneys were not built when Gyeonghoeru was built during the reign of King Taejong, but were built in the second year of the reign of King Gojong in the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty when Gyeongbokgung Palace was rebuilt.
🔵Jagyeongjeon Chimney with Ten Longevity Symbols.
To be continued.
Till the next coming entry, inshaAllah. Meanwhile do take care.
