North Borneo Railway - Kota Kinabalu.
It was the weekend Hari Malaysia. We flew to Kota Kinabalu for a short vacation. Nak try naik keretapi steam, the North Borneo Railway.

Sebelum naik train tu, check names against lists and were given [mock] passport.
Train sebelum depart. We were escorted dan ditunjukkan where our gerabak was.

Since train belum nak gerak lagi, kami turun ambik2 gambar :).
Haaa.... this the part of the train that I am particulary interested in. Good thing tak de langsung restriction to take photos :)
Dalam dapur pun saya masuk.. hehehe.
Mereka semua sporting betul. So friendly and accommodating :).

Nak kopi atau teh panas pun boleh. Served pakai thermos dulu-dulu yang saya noticed very authentic siap dengan calar-calar dan kemek-kemek from long use.

Julang kamera tinggi2 dan shoot! Hahaha....
Speed tak laju. Just nice to enjoy the sceneries. All windows are wide open. Easy for photography :)

Bila sampai or passed through a few small towns, our mock passports will be stamped with the name of the town :).
Bila keretapi stopped at one town, saya pergi lagi ke bahagian engine. Boleh masuk bahagian tu dan ambik gambar. So dapat yang close up. Tapi tak boleh lama. Panas sungguh! Macam dalam sauna!
So sporting! :)

Orang sabah memang sangat peramah. Sure lambai bila the train passes by. Ni masa mereka tengah ader majlis kenduri agaknya :)

Sunset di KK International airport adalah sangat cantik.
Begitulah catatan perjalanan kami naik keretapi stim. Memang la harga tiketnya agak mahal kerana keretapi ni memang betul-betul guna stim. Tapi pengalamannya adalah sangat la best :).
