SOUTH KOREA - SOUTH JEJU - CHEONJEYEON WATERFALLS

Assalamualaikum
🔵Lagi pun dia sudah pun bawa kami ke dua air terjun, when we only requested to go to one waterfall.

🔵Tapi Mr. Lucas kata "If we can visit, why not?" 😄. Dah dengar jawab dia begitu, kami pun ikutkanlah saja.. hihi 😁.

🔵Yoido Full Gospel Seogwipo Church (여의도순복음서귀포교회).
🔹While South Korea has a significant Christian population, Jeju Island has a relatively lower percentage of Christians compared to the national average.
🔹The island's religious landscape is characterized by a strong indigenous shamanistic religion, a robust Buddhist presence, and a smaller, but still present, Christian population.

🔵That is the Seogwipo Jungmun main branch of Yeongsil Guksu, located within Jeju Island.
🔹Yeongsil Guksu is a well-known restaurant specializing in noodles.

Mungkin dia kata we still had 10 more minutes atau dia promised that we'll be out at a certain permissible time.
🔵Bila masuk ke dalam, saya ingat mungkin sudah sunyi sepi tiada pengunjung since it was nearing closing time.

🔹The 1st waterfall only flows during heavy rainfalls. This waterfall is 200 meters from the ticket office. Take good care when going down the rocky steps.
🔹The 2nd waterfall is 300 meters downstream from the 1st waterfall. Also take good care when going down the rocky steps.
🔹The 3rd waterfall is 500 meters from the 2nd waterfall. The wooden steps can be slippery, so be careful.

🔵This image depicts a place's natural scene featuring a clear, flowing stream winding through a rocky, moss-covered landscape. Lush green foliage and trees line the banks and overhang the water, creating a sense of being deep within a forest. The water exhibits varying depths and movement, with some areas appearing still and dark, while others show ripples and lighter tones where the water flows over rocks. The overall impression is one of tranquility and natural beauty.

🔵Inilah air terjun kedua Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls.

🔵The second waterfall has a drop of 30 meters (98 feet).
🔵The water flows from the first waterfall, which is usually a pond, into the second waterfall, which is a more dramatic cascade.

🔵Sungguh indah sekali.

🔵This image captures the waterfall cascading over a rocky cliff face into a serene, dark pool of water below. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green foliage and dense forest, indicating a natural, subtropical environment.

🔵Selesai melawat air terjun, kami menuju ke sebuah jambatan. Masa on the way, we came upon a memorial.

🔵This is Jungmun-myeon 4.3 Victims Memorial Park.
🔹It is a a memorial to the victims of the Jeju Uprising (also known as the Jeju 4.3 Incident), a significant historical event that occurred on Jeju Island from 1948 to 1954.
🔹The large stone monument in the image, with the inscription "清州四三 文面機牲者慰靈平" (which roughly translates to "Jeju 4.3, Memorial to the Victims of the Incident"), is a central feature of the memorial site.
🔹The memorial aims to commemorate the victims, educate the public about the incident, and promote peace and human rights.

🔵Seterusnya kami ke Seonim Bridge.

🔵Seonim-gyo, an iron built arch bridge, is located between the 2nd and 3rd waterfall. It is 128 meters long and 78 meters high, decorated with seven nymphs on each side of the bridge.

🔵Seonim Bridge, also known as Seonimgyo Bridge or the Seven Nymphs Bridge.

🔵The bridge is named after the legend of the seven nymphs associated with Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls, and the carvings depict these nymphs descending from the heavens, connecting the bridge to local mythology.

🔵Bergambar kenangan di jambatan.

🔵Pemandangan dari atas jambatan.

🔵A lush, green landscape featuring a rocky riverbed winding through a densely forested valley.

🔵Sebelum balik le hotel, kami pergi dinner dahulu.

🔵Ini restoran diner kami. Nampak macam eksklusif. Namanya Indian Kitchen Restaurant.

🔵The pathways are flanked by tall grasses and various plants, adding a natural and calming element to the scene.

🔵A paved pathway, leading to the entrance, is lined with outdoor lighting fixtures that emit a soft light.

🔵The restaurant is illuminated from within, casting a warm glow through its windows. Very inviting indeed.

🔵The overall scene conveys a serene and inviting ambiance, enhanced by the artificial lighting against the darkening sky.

🔵The building is nestled within a natural setting, surrounded by various types of vegetation, including tall grasses, shrubs with reddish flowers, and a prominent bare-branched tree.

🔹A prominent feature is a Tiffany-style table lamp with a stained-glass shade depicting colorful floral patterns in red, blue, green, and yellow hues, resting on an ornate bronze-colored base.
🔹To the right of the lamp, a teacup filled with delicious Masala chai, is placed on a matching saucer with intricate gold and dark blue patterns.
🔹White napkins and a patterned fabric placemat complete the table setting.
🔹I must also note that the wooden table surface has a rich, dark finish, reflecting some of the light from the lamp.

🔵Milk tea atau Masala chai yang sedap 😋.
🔹Masala chai is a symphony of flavors: black tea's robust base, creamy milk, and a blend of aromatic spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger. It offers a sweet and spicy warmth that's both comforting and invigorating, perfect for any time of the day, which is especially a proper drinks after the kind of wonderful day we had.
🔹So I savoured each sip of the chai tea, evoking a sense of intentional pleasure and appreciation. Hihihi... what can I say, I just love chai tea 😄.

🔹Conversations with Mr. Lucas were always warm and inviting, and we felt comfortable expressing our thoughts and ideas. He was easy to talk to and many of our conversations seemed to just flow naturally.
🔹One of the quality that we like about Mr. Lucas was that he was always eager to share with us information pertaining to all the places we visited and was always enthusiastic when imparting his knowledge, delivering them in such a manner that was easy for us to understand.
🔹I remembered many lenghty conversations with Mr. Lucas during out sightseeing. Fortunately my wife was there to capture all the wonderful views while I was engaged in deep conversations with Mr. Lucas. Ye la kan, mana nak sembang, mana nak ambik gambar... hihi 😆.

Kami pesan Prawn Chow Mein versi pedas.
🔹Mr. Lucas turut memesan menu yang sama. Also yang pedas. Tak sangka dia tahan pedas sebab even pada kami pun mee tu memang pedas. In fact, habis licin pinggan dia. "Now I know what to order if I come here," kata dia.

🔵Alhamdulillah, sedap, pedas dan mengenyangkan 😊😋.

🔵Leaving the restaurant and head back to the hotel.

🔵Since it was our last night in Jeju Island, kami tidak terus naik ke bilik and decided untuk bersiar-siar dulu untuk menikmati suasana angin kencang Jeju di sekitar hotel.

To be continued.

Till the next coming entry, inshaAllah. Meanwhile do take care.
