Assalamualaikum
🔵Check-out dari hotel.
🔵Menunggu Mr. Lucas.
Flight kami pukul 9:00 pagi.
🔵Dalam perjalanan kami bersembang dengan Mr. Lucas. As it turned out, he is an avid mountain climber.
🔵An "avid mountain climber" is a person who has a strong passion and enthusiasm for climbing mountains. They actively engage in the activity, often seeking out challenging climbs and new heights to conquer. This term implies a deep love for mountaineering and a dedication to the pursuit of climbing mountains. Itulah Mr. Lucas.
🔵Mr. Why 40 days? Because there are bound to be days when it is not suitable or even dangerous to do any climbing.
🔵Mr. Lucas has a daughter and he is so proud of her because she also has the same passion about mountain climbing. In fact, she had recently won a mountain climbing competition and was named as the best female mountain climber in Jeju Island.
🔵Jeju Island hosts the "Trans Jeju by UTMB" mountain climbing competition, which includes courses through Hallasan National Park. The event features scenic trails, including a climb up Hallasan Mountain, the highest peak in South Korea. Participants can choose between a 111 km or 56 km course, both offering challenging climbs and stunning views.
🔵This amazing 3D sculpture is called "The Whale", created by artist Tomek Miksa, a 3D artist based in Poland.
🔵Kaunter check-in Eastar Jet.
Most penumpang lain bawa beg-beg saiz kabin saja agaknya.
🔵Why share this photo?
🔹That is the Baggage Inspection room. Lepas check-in tadi, kami diminta tunggu sekejap selama 5 ke 10 minit.
🔹Yes, it was my digital camera battery. Did I not know I shouldn't have done that? Of course I did. How could I have been so careless. I felt bad and apologized to the officer.
🔵Beratur untuk ke Boarding Gate.
🔵These machines, often found in South Korea, are designed for recycling, where users can deposit items like empty beverage containers and receive credit for their recycling efforts. The credit is typically applied to the user's transportation card or a linked account.
🔵As can be seen from this Flight Information Display System (FIDS), most flights are heading to GIMPO.
🔵In 2024, Jeju (CJU) to Seoul (GMP) remained the Busiest Domestic Route in the World with 14.2 million seats, equivalent to almost 39,000 daily seats.
🔵Capacity on the route was 3% above 2023 levels but still 19% behind 2019.
🔵Ruang menunggu.
🔵Melangkah masuk sambil membaca doa.
🔵Left Jeju International Airport at 9.35 am, lewat 5 minit berbanding jadual.
(annyeonghi gaseyo, Jeju-do!)
"Goodbye Jeju Island"
Alhamdulillah.
🔵Tiba di bandar Seoul.
🔵This photo shows Seoul's dense cityscape viewed during our Jeju-Seoul flight.
🔹The view is characterized by a multitude of high-rise buildings, appearing as a mix of residential and commercial structures, tightly packed together.
🔹The sky is overcast, giving the scene a slightly hazy, blue-gray tone.
🔹There are no specific landmarks or details that stand out, emphasizing the vastness and density of the urban landscape.
🔹The overall impression is of a sprawling metropolitan area, with a uniform architectural style dominating the view, suggesting a large and well-developed city.
🔵We also managed to capture the Sinjeonggyo bridge which is a road bridge in Seoul, South Korea, specifically located in the Mullae-dong area.
🔹Sinjeonggyo bridge spans the Anyangcheon Stream (at forefront of below photo), a tributary of the Han River (near the horizon).
🔹The bridge is part of the Anyangcheon Stream area, known for its cherry blossoms and walking trails.
🔵Also can be seen in our Jeju-Seoul flight route is Bongjesan (봉제산) which refers to Bongje Mountain, located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
🔹It's also known as Bongjesan Neighborhood Park (봉제산근린공원) and features hiking trails, sports facilities, and temples.
🔹The mountain is known for its diverse names, including Neungdongsan, Maebongsan, and Hwagoksan, reflecting its history and geographical features.
🔵Gimpo Airport.
🔹Gimpo International Airport (GMP), located in Seoul, South Korea, is the older and smaller of the two international airports serving the city.
🔹It primarily handles domestic flights and some international flights to nearby destinations in Asia, particularly Japan, China, and Taiwan.
🔹Previously, it was the main international airport for Seoul before Incheon International Airport took over that role in 2001.
🔵South Korea's national carrier is Korean Air. It's also the largest airline in the country. Korean Air is based at Incheon International Airport (ICN).
🔵Orang Korea memang berdisiplin. Everyone remain seated while the aircraft taxi to the terminal.
🔵Aircraft marshaller on Gimpo Airport tarmac in a high-visibility vest using marshalling signals directing aircraft to a gate and positioning the airplane so it can connect to an air bridge or ramp in its designated parking spot.
🔵Beg kami di Belt 5.
🔵There's a large wall covered in a vertical garden, also known as a living wall. The wall is divided into sections, with different shades of green and a section of red foliage. The plants appear to be dense and healthy, creating a lush and vibrant display.
🔵Living walls are gaining popularity in both indoor and outdoor settings for their aesthetic appeal and environmental benefits. They can improve air quality, reduce noise pollution, and create a more natural and calming atmosphere. Additionally, they offer a unique way to bring nature into urban environments where space is limited.
To be continued.
Till the next coming entry, inshaAllah. Meanwhile do take care.
